Tunerly is a client app for your own self-hosted tvheadend TV server. Your privacy is simple to describe: Tunerly does not track you and collects no personal data on any server we operate. We do not run any backend.
To work, Tunerly stores the following only on your device:
This information never leaves your device except when communicating with the tvheadend server you chose, or when you deliberately transfer a server to another of your devices (see below). Deleting the app removes this data.
All channels, electronic program guide (EPG) data, channel logos and recordings come from the tvheadend server you connect to. That server is operated by you, not by us. How that server handles data is governed by your own configuration. Connections use HTTPS/TLS when your server supports it.
Tunerly can copy a server configuration from your iPhone to your Apple TV. This happens directly between your devices:
In both cases the data goes only between your own devices on your local network. None of it passes through any server we control.
Tunerly Pro is sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Purchases and receipts are handled by Apple; Tunerly does not receive or store your payment details. Your purchase is validated on your device through Apple’s StoreKit. Please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple processes purchases.
Tunerly contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.
Tunerly is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
